I was given Lauden chocolates as a gift www.laudenchocolate.co.uk/boxed-chocolate-collections/mixed-chocolates-collections/british-airway-first-class-collection-24-award-winning-chocolates-me-route.html

There is nothing else like them the chocolate is so good and the filling is tart and fruity. I ration myself to one chocolate after dinner.

falang · 04/02/2018 08:17

No. They are my favourite chocolate bars and taste divine

AbandonedBin · 04/02/2018 08:17

Dairy milk is revolting now. And my Chrostmas choc orange was a disappointment

blinkineckmum · 04/02/2018 08:19

I find Lindt the most margerinee.

KinkyAfro · 04/02/2018 08:24

Toblerone is rank now too and they've changed the shape so you guess less 'chocolate' for more money

KinkyAfro · 04/02/2018 08:24

*get not guess

10thingsIhateAboutTheDailyMail · 04/02/2018 08:25

Lidl chocolate is still good (the Bellarom huge bars, contain no palm oil, just cocoa butter iirc)

k2p2k2tog · 04/02/2018 08:42

I love my chocolate and totally agree that anything produced by Mars or Cadburys has totally gone to pot. There are lists online of brands which don;t have palm oil - Lindt is my favourite especially the bunnies! They do put palm oil in their Lindor truffle things but not the plain milk chocolate.

Kinder chocolate doesn't have it either, i'n quite partial to a Kinder Bueno.

WeAllHaveWings · 04/02/2018 10:06

I was gifted some hotel chocolat at Xmas and was underwhelmed. Good old palm oil in the ingredients list again.

We only buy Lindt now and occasionally guylian, but guylian can be overly sweet.

Lucymek · 04/02/2018 10:10

Wow it makes sense now why choclate is now revolting.

Galaxy is disgusting it tastes so chemically. The counters are sooo revolting I wonder what they spray on them to make them so shiney. .

I don't buy Nutella due to the palm oil , and it tastes of shit -I think I'll avoid galaxy and cadburys too!

I love kinder so that's good!

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2018 10:13

I stick with Maltesers.Grin Have to be kept in the fridge though.

jaseyraex · 04/02/2018 10:15

I used to love ripples but was really put off last time I had one. Galaxy was always my favourite chocolate but it's not the same anymore Sad Lindt is by far the best. I'm partial to Aldi's moser roth chocolate if I want something cheaper. The one with the little caramel bits in it is to die for!

Movedout · 04/02/2018 10:31

Nothing in the world gives me more pleasure than a ripple Smile

Goldmonday · 04/02/2018 10:32

BrieAndChilli · 04/02/2018 10:40

The sad thing is that today’s Children will grow up thinking this is how chocolate tastes, so I guess the companies don’t care about us not buying it as they know they will have a future market when our kids grow up.

Sparklingbrook · 04/02/2018 10:48

DS2 loves Hersheys. Which is like eating candle wax. Sad

That has reminded me though that I am partial to Reese's and their peanut butter creations.

SilverySurfer · 04/02/2018 11:03

I miss the old Cadbury's milk chocolate so much. I aim to boycott anything containing palm oil both because it makes stuff taste like oily shit and because of the destruction of orangutan habitat but more and more products contain it.

Shopping, in store and online has become a lengthy chore because of checking the ingredients of everything every time. Even a loaf of bread - why is it necessary to use palm oil?

I currently have a bar of Green & Blacks organic milk chocolate. It's perfectly nice but it's not old Cadbury's and will last five times longer because of that. Maybe that's a positive that I eat less chocolate but it doesn't feel very positive. Sad

AtlanticWaves · 04/02/2018 11:52

I love love love malteasers. But I worked out several years ago that they give me a guaranteed migraine.

So I waited until I was 6 months pregnant and no longer having migraines and had a yummy packet. The next day I had a migraine 🙁

Gutted

Imnotposhjustquaint · 04/02/2018 13:20

YANBU. I was sooooo disappointed when I tried one of these for the first time years ago. How on earth they axed the galaxy truffles from boxes of celebrations yet that monstrosity lives on on confectionary shelves is beyond me!!

BrendasUmbrella · 04/02/2018 18:31

I found a new chocolate bar today, it's nice actually! (It is by Nestle though and I know some people have a Nestle boycott...)

It's called Les Recettes de L'atelier (am reading it off the wrapper) caramel flavoured white chocolate with almonds and hazelnuts. I think there was another kind too. And I don't see palm oil in the ingredients. That will do me for now!

BrendasUmbrella · 04/02/2018 18:32

I love love love malteasers. But I worked out several years ago that they give me a guaranteed migraine.

Did you manage to isolate the ingredient that causes it? I'm the same way with Pringles. I love them but they shred my stomach like I ate broken glass Sad

GlitterGlue · 04/02/2018 18:40

I miss old Cadburys so much. Their facebook page is regularly filled with people complaining, but they still keep churning out the palm oil filled shite.

RunYouJuiceBitch · 04/02/2018 18:43

I taste no difference in any of these chocolates compared to how they've previously been. Confused

TossDaily · 04/02/2018 18:46

Weirdly, Twirls still taste nice to me, even though all other Cadburys has gone to shit.

DS and me polished off an entire large bag of Montezuma buttons today. They were ok, but not amazing.

Hotel Chocolat has gone down the pipes.

Green and Blacks milk was still gorgeous the last time I tried it, but the best of all is Willy's Cacao. Absolutely the bollocks.

Figgygal · 04/02/2018 18:48

Galaxy has always been disgusting

I like Lindt or green and blacks though
