To ask about your pelvic floor?

A friend told me she has done pelvic floor exercises everyday of her adult life because someone told her age 15 it would improve her sex life!!! I was stunned! I missed this memo! I did them once or twice a week during first pregnancy, my pelvic floor was unsurprisingly a disaster afterwards, so I was a bit better for a month or two, but rarely do them since. Now I’m starting the second trimester with number two and I want to turn over a new leaf. So please telll me, do you do regular pelvic floor exercises, if so what do you actually do ... a few quick squeezes, long ones, how many, how often, any apps you’d recommend to help??

Thanks, will give it a go. I can hold in a wee mid flow but I thought it was more than that. Jen, that is helpful too.

Na physios are full of shit.

You need your head in the right place and your body will follow.

You may not want to share the right place with the person you are shagging st the time.

I used to think I was doing the exercises right - the vaginal equivalent of squeezing your fist. After my prolapse, I discovered that move is pointless, what you need to do is find the muscles and concentrate on pulling them upward towards your belly button. It's helped a bit, but ultimately I think I'm facing a losing battle Sad

Mine is a mess, worse during my period. I do PFE when I remember but I get cramps and back pain with them. Does anyone else get this?

WhiteWalkersWife · 03/02/2018 06:51

Do the exercises or you could end up with one that collapses at the hint of a sneeze after pregnancy. I wish i had.

having had my cervix removed last year it's been a godsend - no prolapse, no leakage and once I was healed, pretty damned good sex

If you don't mind me asking a personal question, how does having your cervix removed affect orgasm? Do you still get the pulsing even without it? I may need surgery for prolapse but I'm afraid it may mean I don't fully orgasm anymore...
