AIBU to say Fuck It All and go live in a cave?

I'm moving from Asia back to near my family with a 3 year old with GDD and ASD. Got lots of wide ranging questions, so posting here for traffic.

I was looking at Worsley/Swinton/Roe Green (for those who know North Manchester) which are all in the borough of Salford.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of SN provision in Salford. Would it be worth looking at living in one of the adjoining boroughs (Bolton/Trafford/Manchester)? Does anyone have experience of SEN support in those areas? Ideally, I'd like to be closer to my parents, but would move to another area if services were much better.

My DC is currently in an SN preschool, but may be ok to attend a mainstream primary with support. I'd love to hear from anyone with experience of SN children in mainstream schools in Manchester/Salford/Bolton as perhaps I need to look at getting in the catchment area of a school with a positive record of inclusion.

His current lead teacher has suggested ABA support in a mainstream preschool plus additional SLT and OT. Has anyone else been down this path? I would assume funding is difficult to come by nowadays.

I'll spend more time on the SN boards, but was also hopeful that by posting here I might hear from people in the areas mentioned who may not generally hang out on the SN boards.

I do know people with ABA provision in mainstream but it has usually (always?) involved a tribunal.
