To buy a pram I’ve never seen in real life with no independent reviews on the brand?

Posting here for traffic as there’s a deal on another pram I like that ends today.

I keep seeing Hamilton Turnberry prams and strollers on my newsfeed and they seem too good to be true, fantastic prices, but stylish and with great features.

Problem is I can’t find ANY reviews and since you can’t view them (unless you live near Essex) before you buy, then I’m reluctant.

Has anyone got any experiences with them? Good or bad?

Hmm I keep getting adverts for them too. I’d be a little suspicious of a company who seem to be doing such enthusiastic marketing with little in the way of feedback.

YABU. If the deal sounds too good to be true, it most likely is, especially as the ads have been coming up in your feed today saying that the offer is only for today. That's a well known tactic used by unscrupulous sales people, as it creates a panic in the customer, that they'll never get it any cheaper and don't want to miss out.

I hope you haven't fallen for it.

Also, it's wise to try out a pram/pushchair before buying, to make sure you can do things like fold it easily, that the height of the handle is right for you, that it's not too heavy etc.

@motoko

Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my OP. The deal for the pram I’m talking about is in Mothercare for another pram that has been on for weeks and ends today.

The Hamilton turnberry one has been on my feed for months too, but it’s not a special deal, just always very cheap.

But I don’t feel comfortable buying one I can’t see it try, so think I’ll go for the tried and tested Mothercare one. Thanks.

Aah right. Yes, it's wise to try it out first.

I’d be concerned about safety and durability. I certainly wouldn’t order a car seat from an unknown brand (you didn’t say if that’s included?).

Having somewhere to return it to if something goes wrong is important to me. For example, id order from mother care or John Lewis online but have the reassurance that I can speak to an actual human in store if I have a problem.
