my OH doesn't want to make up a foursome with another couple

I'm fed up with my OH because, every time I suggest that we get together with a certain couple (a close friend of mine and her husband) he makes a real song and dance about it, because he doesn't want to socialise with the husband. He'll agree if I put him under enough pressure, and we have a good time, but I'm getting fed up - I feel he's being selfish.
So, what do you all do in this situation (I can't be the only person that this happens to?). AIBU to feel resentful?

I used to have this problem with my best friend, my DP was not a fan of her DP, and I actually ended up telling her. A close enough friend understands!

Go without him, you shouldn't try to force him into stuff.
if this is so important to you your with the wrong man, because it isn't what he wants.
My dh isn't into much that i'm into and likewise, it makes for variety and we aren't attached at the hip.

if it's only one friendship group then his choice, really. If it's never wanting to do things with any of your friendship groups, or doing things you like, then that is something to think about further, perhaps. I used to think I didn't mind my ex being an unsociable grumpy person who left me to do everything on my own, but it turns out I ended up preferring to run my life on my own if I didn't get any social companionship ever ;-) Seems like a different scenario for you though and your DH sounds like he has a point tbh.
