I want to lose just under a stone to get back to pre-children me but I don't have an overweight BMI. I'm 5'6" and weigh 9 1/2 stone.
I am relatively fit (I competitively horse ride and look after my horse) but don't do much other sport at the moment and my eating habits are just abysmal. I need someone to help me restructure my eating habits into healthy patterns and remind me of what is or isn't healthy.
I've known loads of friends who've done SW and have said it's a great way to lose weight and that you're not always hungry, which wouldn't work for me at all!
I just worry that I'd get negativity from a group if I turn up already at a weight that might be well below goal weight for others there.

You’re better off just eating healthily-buy a veggie cookbook and start eating five a day. Get back into exercising.

You don’t need to lose weight with a bmi of 21.

SW is a great way of re-educating your palate.

I don't really agree with this. I found that the free foods did nothing for someone like me who struggled with portion control and there's too much sweetener and crap tasting yoghurts for my liking! 😁

MFP all the way for me - totally made me think about how much I eat and I love the fact you get nutritional info on there.

@pipgirl404 it is about a lifestyle change and everything in moderation.
All meat must have ALL visible fat removed.
restrictive diets will never work long term because they aren't sustainable... as soon as u hit ur target and stop calorie counting u will pile the weight back on.
my dad's like u and can't understand and says I'm wasting my money but I signed up on the 11th Jan and as of the 25th Jan I am 7lb lighter not been hungry once where as I lost 4 lb in a month calorie counting was always starving and eventually relapsed into a 6 week binge which saw me put on an extra 3 stone in weight!!
A girl I'm my group has lost an astounding 5.5 stone and loses between 2-5lb a week.

I love it, I lost 7lb in my first two weeks, put a few back on this week cause of sleep deprivation, general not following the plan properly but I’m straight back on it now.
I don’t class gains as gains I just look at the overall loss and think if I hadn’t joined I wouldn’t have lost 4/5lb in a month in fact I probably would have kept slowly gaining weight

I should have said Speed Food, not Free Food re-educated my palate.
The pinch of nom website recommends half a plate of speed with each meal

I joined two weeks ago and had 2 people tell me in the queue I didn't need to b there. Made me feel nice and wellcome! Not.

When i went to SW there were a few slim men and women there, my guess was that they were at their target weight (or nearly at it) and were maintaining. People will assume the same with you. Go.
