to want people to reply to a for sale advert without asking for a discount because they need to travel so far?

Just that. Advertised a few good quality items at a reasonable price and the replies I'm getting are asking for a discount because they need to travel so many miles and their fuel costs will be a lot!

Not my problem and they are CFs?

They can ask, you can say no.

No biggie.

Piffpaffpoff · 29/01/2018 13:07

I just say no. In fact, I have in the past made it clear to people travelling a long way that the price is x and they should only travel if they are happy to pay that price.

wantmorenow · 29/01/2018 13:24

I have said no thanks. Very politely. Seems to be a new thing though - wastes my time and theirs though. Can't understand their logic.

Could you put on the ad that you will not reduce the price?

Or put the price up and let them haggle it down to the price you want.

PramWanker · 29/01/2018 13:42

Putting it on the ad probably won't deter people, but putting the price higher is a good idea.

I'll have to try this one next time we go to Sainsburys for The Big Shop.

'Sooo...the bill is £85 but if you factor in petrol costs and my time, I only owe you £12.89.' Grin
