I'd email a complaint to the CEO & get some compensation.

TobleroneBoo · 29/01/2018 07:17

Next flowers are shit.

LizardMonitor · 29/01/2018 07:34

I am always surprised, in a good way, by M& S flower deliveries, followed by Waitrose.

cansu · 29/01/2018 07:51

no. They look like the more expensive tesco or sainsburys ones for about 20.00. Best online flowers are the Bloom and Wild.

LizzieSiddal · 29/01/2018 07:57

Lizard I agree with you M&S and Waitrose delivered flowers are fab.

CrabappleBiscuit · 29/01/2018 08:10

I’ll post a picture of the bouquet I sent my friend from a local florist that was £40 and £4.99 delivery....

Harebellmeadow · 29/01/2018 08:17

Try bloom and wild next time for decent prices 20-25 pounds (better if you use an offer) and reliable delivery.

whiskyowl · 29/01/2018 08:18

Interflora-type delivery flowers are always really overpriced compared to what you'll get in a shop for the same money. I guess quite a bit of the cost is the courier?

k2p2k2tog · 29/01/2018 08:28

I've always found hte best value way is to call a local florist and arrange delivery that way. Have had total nightmares in the past with flower websites.

Reallycantbebothered · 29/01/2018 08:34

Years ago I ordered mother day flowers from M&S for my dm which were never delivered
I phoned them to complain and they arranged for a selection of flowers to be delivered from the local M&S...she ended up with about 3 vasefuls of beautiful lilies and roses!
Sadly we have no decent florists where we live , and I love flowers

londonrach · 29/01/2018 08:44

Yes and no. If from a supermarket...no. If delivered ...yes

londonrach · 29/01/2018 08:48

Just seen from next. Not good. I used presign flowers to thank someone as you get a box of chocs. My mother in law seemed happy and cost less than the holiday she paid for us to go on which was amazing

CrabappleBiscuit · 29/01/2018 09:03

£40 local florist, 4.99 delivery...

MrsPicklesonSmythe · 29/01/2018 09:17

I’ve had this problem with next before. I ordered a £40 bouquet for mother’s day and was actually shocked when I got a picture of what they sent to her. Looked like about £10 worth and lasted less than a week when I complained they just resentan identical shoddy bunch again. Would never use them again.

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 29/01/2018 09:19

I had a both good and poor experience with M&S delivered flowers last year. Ordered some sunflowers but the box was all squished and soaking at the bottom when they arrived and the arrangement was all wonky. They started to fade and die within 24 hours, so I emailed to complain. They sent a replacement and also gave me a full refund. Sadly the 2nd lot weren't much better! So 10/10 for customer service but 2/10 for quality of flowers.

I (naively perhaps) didn't realise that Interflora took such a huge %. I've just this morning ordered some funeral flowers from them as I couldn't get to an actual florist this week. I hope they're not too dissimilar from the picture or that's going to be disappointing, as 1. they were crazy expensive and 2. complaining afterwards wouldn't/couldn't make up for poor flowers on the day.

Branleuse · 29/01/2018 09:23

looks normal for a flower delivery company, but youd get more for your money from a supermarket.

They look nice. Supermarket prices for everything are not a realistic benchmark, unless you ONLY want supermarkets in your town and no other little shops

LadyOfTheCanyon · 29/01/2018 09:28

Yes, Interflora are not at all transparent about their pricing strategy I'm afraid.

Given how hard they make it for their members to make the product look like the picture, they also have a "no quibble" refund policy. So if the flowers don't look like the picture ( which they never will) you have every right to complain. And keep the flowers or have a replacement or a refund. The florist bears the full brunt of that cost.

It's an awful system and I'm still surprised that do many florists offer it, given the poor margins for them. I don't know a single florist shop that offers Interflora that sells good quality flowers, either. They tend to buy cheaper/A2 or B2 grade flowers to try and bump up their profits.

alotalotalot · 29/01/2018 09:33

Crab are you happy with those?

KitKat1985 · 29/01/2018 09:37

OP I agree with PP that it looks to me like they have sent you the £30 bouquet rather than a £40 one. I'd complain.

CrabApple - that looks really sparse for £45. I wouldn't be happy about that.

ForgotwhatIcameinherefor · 29/01/2018 09:43

Crabapple I was expecting something fab, not those.
Please tell us what point you were trying to make!

Shadow666 · 29/01/2018 09:45

I've ordered from Interflora in the past and the flowers have been just as the picture and lasted a really long time. They're a bit expensive but very convenient. M&S have also been good but I've never tried Next.

Basseting · 29/01/2018 09:47

I'd use a local florist and pick the flowers first choice.
2nd choice would be Morrisons - they have lovely big bouquets for £15
Last choice would be delivery - M&S only.

Sidge · 29/01/2018 09:54

Here is my last bouquet from our local independent florist; I believe DP pays around £45 incl delivery.

CrabappleBiscuit · 29/01/2018 10:01

I got distracted by going to work. The point was the independent florist was a bit crap too! I won't use them again...

CrabappleBiscuit · 29/01/2018 10:01

I was expecting something G more like the gorgeous bouquet above!!
