Dc1 born vaginally on due date. Dc2 born vaginally two weeks early. Am needing to organise a last board meeting before end of tax year and the most suitable dates are all either exactly one week or exactly two weeks before EDD of dc3, or exactly one week after. I don't mind working on this thing either immediately before or immediately after birth (although it would be nicer not to immediately after what with all the post-birth bleeding and sore boobs), so that's not a real issue. I would just like to hedge my bets to try and organise it and be there. If there are complications someone else can and will take over so again, it's fine if that happens. I would just like to hear from personal experience so I can mull over some rough stats, whether your third arrived before EDD and by how much, on their EDD, or after the EDD? Want to figure out if my Dc3 is likely to arrive on cue, more likely also a couple of weeks earlier like Dc2 or maybe even three or four weeks earlier (!), or maybe after the EDD. I've heard the latter anecdotally which is why I'm a bit stuck on making a decision. I know it is not an exact science (and midwives always say second (and third?) babies can come early or have shorter labours), but if we assume healthy pregnancies and babies and births on all counts, was my dc2 being early a fluke, or is this a trend likely to continue with Dc3? TIA!
