To speak to school about mascot toy

Dd has brought the class mascot home for the weekend. I have then had to wash and disinfect it as it was filthy which I expect when it's handed round 30+ kids and dragged to every place over their weekend. However, it absolutely stinks of fag smoke.

Dd is asthmatic, having it so close to her (she has carried it everywhere) has left her coughing and wheezing a lot. I have now out everything including the bag and the Teddy in the washing machine.

Would I be "that parent" if I had a word with the teacher about it?

Oh my god, please don't do what bunbunny said Shock You'll look like a knob. If you're going to say anything, it needs to be clear and direct.

I did write a PA entry in the giant fuck-off ragdoll called Lucy's diary when ds1 had her for about the 20th time at nursery. It went along the lines of "I spent a scintillating weekend languishing in a Bag For Life on the back of an old pushchair with my legs bent up over my head and a packet of nappies digging into my spine"

but the nursery teacher was a fabulous woman with a wicked sense of humour, so I knew there would be no offence taken

God how my heart used to sink when he'd come bounding out of nursery clutching "Woosy". I miss it now he's 15 Sad
