To make cookies without baking paper

Luckymummy22 · 27/01/2018 14:26

Can’t be bothered going to Tesco but promised the kids I would make cookies with them.

Will they completely stick to the tray?

Any other ideas?

I knew I would forget something!!

Dust the tray with floor

I mean flour
I can't spell

I've never used baking paper for cookies. I just grease the tray with oil or butter.

Luckymummy22 · 27/01/2018 14:32

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if butter / oil would make too greasy.

Never even though about flour.

I’m not a natural baker at all lol

You only need a very thin layer, so it really doesn't affect it. Flour would probably work too, but generally it's used for bread products that have very low fat content where the oil would make a difference, rather than cakes/cookies/biscuits - so I've never tried it.

I just put cookie dough straight onto a (high quality) baking sheet. Not much sticks, but I do take them off with a fish slice before they are cool.

yes to butter/oil & flour.
enjoy

can I have some?

I use a nonstick baking sheet and they just slide off into my mouth when cooked. No need for baking paper.
