Holiday on a budget

Want to go away this year abroad for a week me and dd could I realistically do this with a 600 budget for both of us that's excluding spending money?
would want a reasonable hotel and full board if possible.
Was thinking turkey or somewhere like that.
My dd is ten so not sure if I pay adult price for her.
The reason I'm clueless is because I last went abroad ten years ago pre dd so not much idea what the average family pay for holidays now.
So AIBU to think it's possible on a very tight budget?
would prefer July August time but would consider beginning of September.

If you can go in the May half term holiday, that'll be cheaper.

you could definitely do half board in Turkey for your budget - so many people say bad things about Turkey but it's a beautiful country with wonderful people, I may be biased as I'm there 5 times a year and have a Turkish partner.

PM me if you'd like a hotel recommendation

A quick search using onthebeach finds in early August flights to Barcelona and 7 nights full board at a hotel a short distance away (including transfers) for £750.

Might not be the best hotel, but will never get a great hotel on such a limited budget.

Would do half board but don't want self catering.

How much do you hate self catering that you would rather not have a holiday at all?
If we are away for a week or more we (nearly) always self cater, and TBH we could afford not to, but we prefer the flexibility.
