Wellies, FFS!

To think I should be able to just, you know, buy a pair of fucking wellies! (Well actually I want neoprene lined ones IN A SIZE 6)

I've been trying to get a new pair since Christmas... they were no. 1 on my Christmas list but DH didn't get them because by the time he went to order they were sold out. I've tried all the local stockists, and finally tracked a pair down in the hunter sale, ordered them and they were due for delivery tomorrow.

Now I get an email saying they can't fulfill my order as they are now out of stock. FFS. I keep being told that all the 6s are now out of stock and they won't get any more as they are a seasonal product.

I know it's not the end of the world but why can't they just make/stock more size 6s as they know these ones will always sell out first! Anyway just wanted to rant before I go and get some cheap unlined ones to keep me going till the Autumn.

OP
I have a pair of hunters 7 ( but I am a size 6 ) and wore with thick socks
They are about 3 years old but Ive worn them twice 😂. They are in perfect condition
I was actually going to take them to the charity shop tomorrow along with some other stuff
But if you want them they are yours happy to post them to you
They are the plain Matt ones not shiny but they are like brand new
I even have a pair of lovely leopard skin wellie socks to go with them
Drop me a PM on here if you want them happy to send them to you

NoFucksImAQueen · 26/01/2018 18:10

Aw what a lovely offer magipie. If op passes can I be dead cheeky and take you up on it? I have 3 dogs do an often walking and keep wrecking my wellies.

Frogslegs24 · 26/01/2018 18:14

I have gumleaf ones they are really cosy, think they might have a sale on ATM too.

Magpiemagpie · 26/01/2018 18:18

Queen.
If the OP dont get back to me then you are welcome to them
They really are immaculate no marks and the heels are unused and inside they are new no markings or anything
I bought them on a whim when I thought I might enjoy country walks and then realised I much prefered net flixs

Hunters and Joules wellies are utter shit these days. They leak and split something awful. I worked somewhere that sold them and we had customers returning them every single week as they are such poor quality. It's a shame as Hunters used to be brilliant but they went bust a couple of times and moved production to China

AntoniaCaenis · 26/01/2018 18:35

Wow! Thank you for the offer magpie that's amazingly kind, unfortunately I'm actually nearer a 5 than a 6 ( but too big for a five) so a 7 is really too big. (nofucks all yours!)

Alas the Aldi ones only start with a mens 7. I think I need to Budget (not Bugatti thanks autocorrect!) for a pair of muck boots.

Thanks everyone for all the input, here's to a nice dry, warm weekend!

insertcoolusernamehere · 26/01/2018 18:43

These are in a 6 and are good value for money Smile

Littlebitshort · 26/01/2018 18:44

Ooohhh iv just bought myself some Hunters thinking i was really ‘with it’ and now im reading that they a shite? Bumholes! Going to have to look into these Muck boots you are all talking about ☺️

NoFucksImAQueen · 26/01/2018 19:47

Thank you Antonia! Magpie I don't know how to access my inbox on the app or pm you?

OnTheRise · 26/01/2018 19:58

Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like neoprene wellies? They leak where the neoprene is, they're heavy and clunky and odd, and after about ten minutes of wear the neoprene begins to come apart from the welly foot and you're left with ankle-wellies.

Hunter Argyll wellies. They're the best. I'm on my third pair. I bought my first pair twenty one years ago. Lovely wellies.

Mybabystolemysanity · 26/01/2018 20:01

Try Buckler Buckbootz.

I have steel toe ones for work, butI think they do a ladies/equestrian version in small (normal ladies) sizes too.

Buckler are online.

Fosterdog123 · 26/01/2018 20:10

Plenty here. Just don't be tempted by Hunters fgs!

Dunlop green wellies are fab with a pair of fleece welly socks inside . Hunter and Joukes are completely crap . The kids have aigle and Boden ones which are wearing well. I’ve had my Dunlop’s a few years and they are fantastic

Fosterdog123 · 27/01/2018 09:21

Heard about these on Radio 4 this morning www.warmwellies.co.uk/ladies-wellies-1/

PurpleRobe · 27/01/2018 09:31

Found these on eBay in your price range?

Try Bogs Boots.

Sologirl1982 · 27/01/2018 13:00

Le cheameau are amazing. Yes they are expensive but they last, waterproof, feet stay toasty warm :)

thetemptationofchocolate · 27/01/2018 13:26

The Aigle boots are very expensive but they do last for years, or at least mine have. And they get worn most days (horse stuff & lots of mud).
I used to buy cheaper ones but was going through two or three pairs per year. I've had the Aigles for about 5 years now, so they were good value for money.

Tatiannatomasina · 27/01/2018 13:33

My le chameau are 10 years young and still going great. Really worth investing in if you are going to use them a lot. I had hunters and wore down the heel in less than a year. They were pants.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 27/01/2018 14:17

seriously DH just came home with a pair from Aldi. posh ones

Loyaultemelie · 27/01/2018 17:01

Definitely look in farm supplies as Lakie says we pay a lot less than I see them online for all the family plus I get Toggi canyon type boots at almost half the price and they are really warm too!
