AIBU to think this is a bit cheeky?

New neighbours moved in across the road from us (I say new- they have been there about a year now ) . I have been getting several amazon , ASOS , etc delivery’s for them .
Thought nothing of it as I get plenty myself until yesterday when neighbour lady came and knocked the door for her parcel about lunchtime . “ oh I hope I didn’t wake the DC “she says “no” says I “just me as they are at nursery today as I had work last night”
“Oh” she says (looking a bit uncomfortable) “so you work then?”
Me Confused “erm yes , but I work night shifts as it is easier with childcare etc etc”

Anyhow - turns out they had purposely selected my address as their delivery address as they thought I was in all day and didn’t work because they had seen my car outside before !

They didn’t ask if this is ok and also there are several actually retired people in the street who aren’t sleeping off nightshifts whom they could have had the parcels delivered too!

For the past year I have been woken up after a night shift several times due to this . Am a bit annoyed and miffed - I would never have done something like this - especially because I only know they to smile and wave at on passing!

AIBU?

I put please leave with any neighbours.

At least I'm not selective with my CFuckery. And my rare parcels are spread around.

UpstartCrow · 26/01/2018 17:38

She owes you some nice choccys at least.

Slanetylor · 26/01/2018 17:47

She genuinely thought you were home during the day and might have seen you get lots of your own deliveries. She was obviously mortified when she realised what had happened so I'm sure it won't happen again. It WAS cheeky for sure but if it doesn't happen again I'd leave it go as a genuine mistake. Although I hope it's not a usual delivery guy who'll just call to yours now out of habit!! I'd leave a note on door in that case.

in case they get targeted for this fuckery.

Eh? I genuinely don't know what you mean by this!

Targetted by whom? Why? What fuckery??? Confused

CoolGirlsNeverGetAngry · 26/01/2018 20:10

What fuckery?

It’s pretty out of order to get parcels sent to neighbours without checking first. I always ask if I know we’ll be out for a delivery and i’m happy to do the same if we get asked to take something.

Pff, it gives them a bit of human interaction in their otherwise dull, grey lives....
