After the break they are discussing a Mumsnet thread where the OP said SAHMs are lazy and wonder what they do all day. In case anyone is interested!

Dr Zoe was a gladiator as well.

LuckyAmy1986 · 25/01/2018 11:10

Sparkling I'm with you on Loose Women. I have never watched Judge Rinder though!

Dr Zoe was a gladiator as well
Mind. Blown.

But I don't remember her at all, not one of the originals.

The working Mum was very irritating She was yes, but so was the SAHM to be honest - especially finding her Whatsapp group hectic?!

The working mum was a bitch, she is right of course,[in her opinion.] people should have a choice, and especially someone who doesnt actually need to work, good income from partner for instance
I dont get why there is all this pressure to get women to work
A friend of mine, years ago, got slated by the police when her son got into trouble, because they said she should have been home when they came home from school, then he might not have got in trouble,
How times have changed
Most women who work, need to, if their financial situation calls for it, others might work to keep a lifestyle they have become used to,or to pay for luxuries
Some are career women,
Everyone is different and different situations

Sparklingbrook · 25/01/2018 11:13

What did the working Mum do for a job?

She's obviously got time to appear on daytime telly and argue with a stranger.

Viviennemary · 25/01/2018 11:14

I;ve missed it. But I expect it's the usual smuggery from both sides. Yawn. But I'll still record it on plus one. I quite enjoy a good froth. Grin

GottadoitGottadoit · 25/01/2018 11:16

Most women who work, need to

Yes, and some just enjoy it.

LineyS · 25/01/2018 11:16

Oh tragedy, I missed it.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 25/01/2018 11:16

Who else watches this?! Well older people I suppose
And students. I used to love Richard and Judy when I was at university Grin

Sparklingbrook · 25/01/2018 11:17

Alison Hammond has been banished to a Scottish Castle for Burns Night.Grin

She's the most entertaining bit of the show.

FridgeCut · 25/01/2018 11:21

What about those of us who work from home around our kids, I work 28 hours a week and have a 2 and 4 year old. The 4 year old is at school but the 2 year old is at home with me full time. I want to be fawned at my willoughby! Grin

Sparklingbrook · 25/01/2018 11:22

That poor woman. Peter Andre didn't give her chance to tidy up before inviting himself in.

If he called round to me now he would find me lying on my bed in my pants watching TV. Grin

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 25/01/2018 11:24

Sparklingbrook
Grin He’d find me on sofa with my right tit out! breastfeeding

KNain · 25/01/2018 11:26

I was just thinking the same thing! I would hate that (the money might help me feel better though!)
When DS was tiny I used to watch This Morning a lot, most mornings they would have found me still in my dressing gown and the house looking like the aftermath of an explosion in Mothercare. Definitely wouldn't have wanted a telly crew coming round without some warning.

Sparklingbrook · 25/01/2018 11:26

Grin LLoyd. The stuff of nightmares. Having PA turn up unexpectedly.

StealthPolarBear · 25/01/2018 11:31

"I dont get why there is all this pressure to get women to work"
Would you say the same about men

LuckyAmy1986 · 25/01/2018 11:32

Wouldn't the money make up for it though?!

OP posts:
calzone · 25/01/2018 11:34

I'm watching Kiri in my dressing gown......

Hazandduck · 25/01/2018 11:36

@Lloyd ditto, and Baby is on the right breast too!

UpstartCrow · 25/01/2018 11:37

I hope they have a duel with loo brushes!

lovemylover · 25/01/2018 11:40

No i wouldnt say the same about men, as its the women who look after the kids and mostly cook the meals, clean and the men come home to a cooked meal and relax,
Its fine if women can get a job that can work around school hours,
I worked but luckily could work around school hours, but i was a single [divorced ] mum, and have to say yes i enjoyed working, wouldnt have wanted to stay at home all day,
Also men usually,[not always] have a higher income, but its still a choice

JJPP123 · 25/01/2018 11:42

Polar bear... I've no idea if SAHD are pressured to retun to work too but a lot of SAHMs are (and then pressured to stay at home once theyre in work but thats another matter...) my point is i dont see what the sex of the parent matters in this case.

Hazandduck · 25/01/2018 11:43

@Vivienne god yes, both very smug!
