Teacher boasting about making a child cry.

Why would you think that is something to be proud of??

OP posts:
MissMouseMcPhee · 24/01/2018 19:27

But that's daft. People can make jokes and facetious comments that have no bearing on what they would actually do in any given situation.

Except OP, who was there, has said it wasn't a joke, it was a boast! Mind you, it is a bit like pulling teeth trying to get context.

This sounds like bullying to me. Teachers are not allowed to behave like this towards children. You are obviously uncomfortable about it OP. You should go toyour head before next month's kid is made to cry. It is your job to report this kind of behaviour which falls below teachers'standards. The boasting is worse.

apathyisland · 24/01/2018 19:28

this is a defence mechanism used by teachers whom no one likes

BoneyBackJefferson · 24/01/2018 19:29

We don't know how it was worded, how it was said or what the context of the 'discussion' was.

X Post ish

I think it's safe to say we will never find out.

NotAgainYoda · 24/01/2018 19:44

Well with all these petite little answers the OP is functioning nicely as a Projection Screen

APlaceAtTheBSDTable · 24/01/2018 19:52

What are you going to do about it?

Louiselouie0890 · 24/01/2018 19:56

If you do nothing your no better than them

Fairenuff · 24/01/2018 19:57

If it's as malicious as you say it is, why aren't you doing anything about it?

If you are a colleague, as you say you are, you have a duty of care to those children. Be professional. Stop bitching on the internet and talk to your senior management team.

Nofunkingworriesmate · 24/01/2018 20:00

Hopefully an exaggeration, stress relief attempt at humour
But next time check and correct them if necessary, it's all our duty to protect children from harm

Thistlebelle · 24/01/2018 23:06

If it's “Best to ignore it” in your opinion OP I have to wonder why you started the thread?

You’ve been listening to this for years but haven’t challenged it. What are you hoping to get from the thread?

TheGirlWithAllTheFeathers · 26/01/2018 14:26

That's outrageous. I would tell them so to their face.
