Should listen to their messages, really annoyed, i have tried to cancel 3 times, and cant get in touch with anyone
I left a message 3 days ago, and got another reminder text last night about 5-30, so left another one, but said i would ring in hospital hours today, rang again and still answer phone
Why dont they listen to their messages. will try again
No wonder they complain about people not turning up

Hospitals are pretty busy just now Hmm

Go through switch and ask for the secretaries of whatever speciality you are seeing (or the consultant's secretary if you know who their name).

Sorry, my post was unnecessarily arsey. But I've been horrified by what I've seen in hospitals over the past year of my dad having cancer, multiple instances of being blue-lighted to hospital with sepsis/kidney failure/tumour lysis syndrome/unexplained agonising pain, followed by hours on a trolley in a crowded corridor. One nurse trying to cope with a sea of trolleys with terrified old people who have wet themselves/vomited and don't know where they are. Chemotherapy for rapid-growing lymphoma postponed because staff can't cope with volume. It's a horror show. Honestly, no wonder the admin side of things is a bit sketchy.

Someone rang me back and ,apparently i was given the wrong no,and i am not the only one its happened to

It's really not surprising that there are admin cock-ups at the moment. Hospitals are stretched past breaking point. Better you got the wrong number than somebody else got the wrong chemo drugs, no?

NewYearNewMe18 · 24/01/2018 18:48

Our local trust is so short of money it's not allowed to recruit any more admin (when people leave/retire etc). Nurses in clinic etc are having to do their own typing.

Greensleves im sorry you have been through all that ,yes its awful what is happening to our NHS,
I have to say our hospital has been brilliant in most cases
My partner has had lots of tests for prostate cancer, and they have been really good and kept him up to date with all appointments and tests etc, all within a few weeks, luckily all seems ok, but just to be on the safe side still monitoring him
