DH did a night shift last night, got in at 5am. DD is 2.7. Usually she'd be in Nursery and I'd be either working in the office or at a meeting right now.

Only DD started vomiting just before DH got in from work this morning. She's stopped vomiting now but still has diarrhea every few hours and due to the sickness this morning I can't take her anywhere.

She's driving me mad, we've been up since 4am. Have watched every episode of Peppa Pig, played with most of her toys and have had a nap. The problem is in herself she's not actually ill, so she's bored. She also knows today is a Nursery day as she heard me on the phone to the manager this morning saying she wouldn't be in so she's probably a bit disappointed she's not there.

I need to try and keep her as quiet as possible as DH needs to sleep as he's doing a nightshift again tonight, and then the same again tomorrow, although tomorrow isn't too much of a problem as DH then has a couple of days off after tonight.

Any suggestions? She's currently running round the flat (yes added complication there!) saying she's a wally. Usually if she's home on Tuesday/when DH does nights I'd take her to a group and swimming or something but obviously can't today.

Take her to the park for a bit? Not the playground with other DC I mean like a nice empty green or something.

I give my DS daytime baths sometimes when it's raining, I let him put his normal toys in (just the cheap plastic ones) he'll happily spend ages in there.

There's a meadow nearby that's usually only used by dog walkers will that be ok?

Bath is a good idea, she loves baths!

Make paint butterflies, read a story, a walk, help polish something ( my 2 loved polishing the table or the windows).

As long as you don't let her breathe/otherwise germ any dog walkers it'll probably be fine Grin It'll hopefully be nice and empty if most people walk their dogs before or after work.

We've read all her books, we go to the library every few weeks and get new books for her, but will read again if she'll listen.

Will give her a bath and see how she is maybe we'll go to the meadow for a bit, she's colouring in at the moment.
