Quick question...

90y/o Uncle has passed away. His only living relatives are you, your Dad, and your sister. Everyone gets on well, no family rifts at all.

Uncle leaves 50% to your Dad, and 50% to you (male) in his will.
Nothing to sister at all.

Would you split with your sister? Dad has already said he will give her 33% of his inheritance...

Sorry ignore comments about grandfather - should say uncle!

We had similar situation.

My aunt (no children of her own) left £4000 each to me and my two brothers.

She left my sister her house Confused.

Didn't understand it at all. Felt very hurt that my aunt who I loved, turned out to have an obvious preference for my sister.

However, I would never have expected my sister to share her inheritance. It was what my aunt wanted.

How mean to leave the sister out!

Yes I’d share with my sister as I’d feel bloody awful otherwise
