To consider going to a show alone?

I have tickets to filming of an episode of a BBC comedy but I have no one to go with. It is an awkward time in early evening so as my friends are working they would struggle to get there and dh will be with the kids. I would like to go but feel it might be a weird experience, as a comedy is best enjoyed with people and though I will be in an audience I will also be alone... It's not so much being alone that bothers me as I don't mind my own company, but in this situation will it be more awkward or less than sitting in a pub nursing a pint and reading the paper, which I don't really mind doing... Any thoughts?

I'm a bit of a loner, I have been to various things alone, you will not regret it.
