AIBU that my new boss is an absolute B

We restructured at work a year ago and my new boss of 13 of us in an absolute B. She piles more and more work on us and expects us to keep up her demands. WTF!

Like PPs, I too thought you meant "B" rather than an "A". I was going to advise to celebrate mediocrity. Most of us are the middling sort when we switch off our Apprentice-twat-voice for a moment. And the middling sort is fine.

But YABU for calling her a bitch, that's just fucking ugly. Perhaps she is out of her depth or stressed or just horrible.

Surreal18 · 21/01/2018 14:56

Its hard to see my team mates stressed to the point of breaking. Yes a qb. I'm a gentle lass but so F'd off they're going through this

So speak up.

ShortandAnnoying · 21/01/2018 15:04

If you feel your people skills are good enough that you could diplomatically say no to increased work if you were the manager maybe you can use that ability to negotiate with her on behalf of your team? Point out that if they are continued to be so overworked and stressed mistakes may be made and people might get ill with the stress. Maybe you know some way of declining work that you could pass on to her?

But use real words. Not everyone is as good as MNers at translating capital letters.

extinctspecies · 21/01/2018 15:08

Are you about 17 OP?

Because that's the way my teenage kids talk.

VelvetSpoon · 21/01/2018 15:08

Thing is though if there is a certain amount of work it has to get done. I work with teams who are very stretched but being busy doesn't stop new work coming in. Recruitment isn't a simple solution because it takes time to get people in and train them, plus there's always an element of attrition. Sometimes you just have to get your heads down and suck it up. None of the people manager's I work alongside can turn down work, as where else is it going to go?!

Mrsmadevans · 21/01/2018 15:26

She will get her comeuppance OP just keep your head down and have a voodoo doll in the drawer and stick staples in the bitch. Oh yes and if you really want revenge .........when you make her tea .................

ghostyslovesheets · 21/01/2018 15:36
