Sorry in advance if this is a long one. So as not to drip feed I have really bad anxiety and I can't get out on my own. Today my boyfriend took me food shopping and he took me to a shop that I've never been to before I was completely out of my comfort zone the shop was packed and I had a panic attack my boyfriend managed to calm me down enough for me to just about complete my shopping without breaking down and abondonning it but I feel so stupid for having a panic attack over a shopping trip I feel like I will never be able to live a normal life and do things on my own.

Cbt was life changing for me, if the pills aren't doing anything to help maybe you can ask your gp if you can try a different one, there are lots of options and it can take a while to find the best ones for you.
You definitely aren't alone, we'll always be here!!

Honey you suffer from anxiety which is an illness. You aren't stupid, and you don't need to have a 'good reaso for having a panic attack any more than you need a good reason to throw up when you're ill. Panic attacks are a symptom of your illness.

It sounds like you did really well and were able to complete your shopping, and I think you should be proud of that. I'm sure you're already getting help for your anxiety (although if not I would encourage you because there are lots of options). Sending you a big hug, panic attacks are horrible and you need to be gentle with yourself for a while x
