I was in a hospital before and rather upset over some news and got really flustered at the pay machine for parking when i realised i had no money and needed a cash machine and didnt know how to get my ticket back out and was getting in a right state and the lovely lady in the queue behind me paid my £3 parking.

Its nice to know lovely people still exist in the world.

I've got a parking story too. About a year ago, I'd had a thoroughly bad week and was feeling as though all my efforts in a particular area were coming to nothing.

My husband and I had a babysitter so had a - rare - few hours out on our own that Saturday and went to a town near us to do some shopping.

We got to the mult-storey P&D car park and realised we were short of money for the ticket by a few pounds. The man in front of us must have heard because he turned around, put his enormous hand in his pocket, and pulled out a massive amount of change. Then he said 'help yourself to as much as you want. I believe in karma'. I could have cried from his sheer thoughtfulness and kindness, especially after the shitty week.

After we thanked him, we walked to the high street, went to an obscure haberdashery shop, up to the third floor where my husband wanted something weird for our curtains, and right where we needed to go was the man from the car park with his wife. It was all a bit spooky! But wonderful.
