To think it is not that easy to get and keep a job?

Seeing as the unemployed are getting a hard time on here I thought id give my pov.
It is not THAT easy to get and keep any old job. Take jobs for unskilled workers such as factory work and cleaning ( which i have done). Most is through an agency which may be temporary and increasingly zero houelrs contract.
I was fired from a factory job as i wasnt fast enough. I wworked hard but after 8 hours putting spribkles on cakes on a night shiftni was exhausted.

Then take higher paid jobs such as teaching, law, accountancy etc. First you need qualifications to even get a foot in. Then you face intense competition and constant scrutiny.

I cureently work pt but am looking for more hours. Most jobs are zero hour short term contracts in my field.

Im just fed up with reading about 'useless' men / partnerswho loose their jobs or feckless benefit scroungers...as though getting and keeping a job was a walk in the park.

I disagree, jobs are easy to get and keep. If you do a good job, they keep You, if you don't, they'll find a reason to get rid

That’s quite a naive way of viewing employment in the current context of low paid, temporary contract type work which is out there.

Many many employers are constantly looking for ways to have cheap labour, with minimal rights. Further more I’m convinced that all the talk of automation is just another way to scare employees into thinking they should be grateful for their jobs. You never hear that those higher up would be replaced by computers Hmm

You seem to have a history of not being able to hold a job down, OP. Maybe it isn't the job/employer?
