To think this is sexist reporting?

Big article on the left about man having to get his own expert to retrieve photos of him cuddling his alleged rape victim, which ultimately proved his innocence.
Tiny 11 line piece on right about a woman abducted and gang raped by 3 men in broad daylight.
I’m not trying to say a potential miscarriage of justice is not devastating for anyone, but am struggling to see how this reporting is proportionate. Is it that a woman being violently attacked by men is so commonplace in our society that it doesn’t warrant proper reporting?

No, it’s that the cuddling case has a lot of unusual elements to it that make it interesting for a news story.

That’s depressing. So being abducted and gang raped in broad daylight is not unusual.

It isn't sexist. The alleged rape case is hotly on the news agenda atm.

Ok. Fine to be told IABU. That’s what I asked after all. I do still think it’s sad that the exposure given to each story is so skewed.
