I really hate it when posters say they are pissed at something when they should be saying pissed off.

It annoys me so much. Aibu?

Well Mumsnet is not only for England love. English is a language used in many countries

Coastalcommand · 17/01/2018 23:25

I’m with you. Pissed needs an off!

SootyandMathew · 18/01/2018 00:55

It's an Irishism too.

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 18/01/2018 01:05

I don't mind it. 'Gotten' on the other hand, jars almost as much as lol and nom.

'Lol! So anyways, I'd just gotten my lunch (nom!) from Sainsbos when the peeps from next door came round to talk about their hollibobs. Lol!'

Feel free to embellish with anything I've missed out. Grin

If a person A is pissed (annoyed) with person B, do they tell tell them to piss off, or just piss? 🙄

SootyandMathew · 19/01/2018 19:50

If they're Irish they say Feck off
