Bedroom bins

My sister was complaining that her partner leaves used condoms on her dressing table instead of putting them in the bin in the bathroom. When I suggested she get a bin for her bedroom she said that it was weird and who has a bin in their bedroom and that it would basically be a "condom bin" I have a bin in my bedroom (not for the reason!) are bedroom bins weird? Do you have a bin in your bedroom?

Btw, does she get him to take the condom from the dressing table to the bathroom bin, and clean off the dressing table?
If not, why not?

There was previously a bin in our room but now we have to use the one in the ensuite because the smallest cat is a total plank and will eat anything; cotton pads, earbuds, tags from clothing. He's a fool.

Bluelonerose · 14/01/2018 22:10

I don't in my bedroom but do in bathroom and children's bedrooms.
Apparently though according to dd having a bin in your room doesn't mean the rubbish HAS to go in there Hmm

ThisLittleKitty · 14/01/2018 22:10

he did wrap it in tissue once apparently, but then my she picked it up, realising there was something in it she squeezed it in her hands to try to feel what it was and it oozed out all over her hand, so I'm not sure that's any better.

Pretty much the only room in our house without a bin is the dining room. But there are 2 in the lounge to make up for it. Smile

Bedroom bin for tissues, clothing packages, nail clippings, hair from hairbrush, socks with holes.

Mxyzptlk · 14/01/2018 22:12

How long has your sister been having this problem?

dementedpixie · 14/01/2018 22:12

Have a bin in bedrooms and bathroom. Also have a couple of bags for life hanging on bedroom cupboard doors so recycling stuff upstairs can be separated - need one for cardboard and one for plastic/ deodorant tins, etc

Bluntness100 · 14/01/2018 22:13

She's had words with him apparently but he keeps doing it

Jesus, does he wipe his dick on her curtains too? WTAF is she doing with him? He's an ill mannered filthy disrespectful pig.

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2018 22:13

How did she not know what it was? Presumably she had just had sex? Confused

YY How long have they been together?

Sparklingbrook · 14/01/2018 22:14

That too Bluntness. Grin

Blessyourheart · 14/01/2018 22:14

Leaving condoms on her dressing table = dirty bastard. That is disgusting. If my DH did that he wouldn't be my DH anymore.

No bins anywhere except kitchen and not getting any. Ever.

BarbaraofSevillle · 14/01/2018 22:15

Yes to a bin in the bedroom, but it's a tiny one in the bedside cabinet drawer because real sized ones get tipped over and the contents strewn everywhere by the kittens (fosterer so never ending - if one lot grow up or get rehomed, I get more of them).

MorbidBibliomancy · 14/01/2018 22:16

Additional question for those with additional bins: do you line yours? Our kitchen bin has a bin liner in, but the bedroom and office ones don't (mainly because the stuff that goes in there is non-wet, non-messy stuff that's easily tipped out in a larger binbag when I do the rounds).

We only have bins in the bathrooms, kitchen and study. Haven’t needed them anywhere else.

ThisLittleKitty · 14/01/2018 22:16

I'm not too sure this is the morning she discovers it. When she's woke up. He wakes up before her to go to work so she doesn't make him clean it as that would mean leaving it all day. From what she's said he's only done it 3 times so I guess it's just him forgetting sometimes. Confused

Bins in bedroom (and bathroom) here.
Bedroom bin has tissues, used medication strips, sweetie wrappers, cotton pads from makeup remover, hair from brush, clothes tags..... no condoms as I'm terminally single.
I don't know what I'd do without my bedroom bin!

MakeMisogynyAHateCrime · 14/01/2018 22:17

Ugh her partner sounds grim.
We have a bin in our bedroom (tissues, wrappers, the odd cotton bud if I’m fixing my dodgy eyeliner), in the bathrooms and in the kitchen.

BarbaraofSevillle · 14/01/2018 22:17

I would never have thought any man would be gross enough to wipe his dick on the curtains, but I've read more than one 'how clean is your hotel room' article where spunky curtains get a mention in the top 10 disgusting finds.

I think your sister is oversharing a bit too much. Why is she even with him?

wannabestressfree · 14/01/2018 22:20

Yes as I wear a bag and need to change regularly. I do empty it daily though. All my sons have bins too but for slightly more teenagy reasons eg wrappers, pens etc

Sallystyle · 14/01/2018 22:20

No bins in bedrooms here. I don't even know why we don't have them, we just don't.

ThisLittleKitty · 14/01/2018 22:20

Ohhh she always overstates with everyone! Even if you don't want to know.
