Just that really, and how long did it take you to learn how to drive? And how old were you?

My daughter had 10 lessons and passed first time no minors.
Is there anybody you can drive around on l plates to get in some practise?

PutDownThatLaptop · 14/01/2018 15:07

I was over 40 and did an intensive course in the school summer holidays. I failed in September and passed in October.

This is really helpful. I really want to learn but just never got round to it.

Do you guys think a couple of weeks of 2x 2 hr lessons then an intensive course would cut it?

Bottomofsmughill · 14/01/2018 21:00

This is exactly the thread I need too! Any recommendations for intensive courses in Sussex?

Probably not no. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but there is so much to get your head around.

I passed 3 months after I turned 17, 1x 2 hr lesson per week, plus practice in between lessons going out with my parents.

zaalitje · 15/01/2018 10:11

I passed just over a year ago. Don't forget you'll need to pass your theory before you can apply for the practical test.

Also, at the point I booked my test there was a 16 week wait, thankfully I managed to get a cancellation for 2 months.

Totally doable. I was 17 and passed in 3 months. Things were different then though, not sure id pass now with all the engine stuff!! Good luck!!!!
