Not to need a tv licence

My friend says she doesn't need a licence because she doesn't watch BBC. Is it really that simple, i mean do they have to believe you? It just seems very trusting of them. I don't watch BBC myself, but have always had a licence. She says i shouldn't. Does anyone know the actual facts about this? Confused

Why are you trying to keep it going. I'm not interested in arguing with you, i have my opinions, i don't need to hear yours, i've already thanked the informative posters for the information i wanted.

Because you tagged me in a reply. If you didn’t want a discussion you shouldn’t have done that, because believe it or not that promotes discussion.

Yes I did but only in relation to your reaction to me saying that the poor get punished. Your last post ignored that and didn't refer to anything i'd tagged you for. I was just pointing out that it was hardly an unknown concept that you get punished for being poor. That's why i said well if you came on MN regular you'd see loads of threads discussing that very thing. You've said now that you do come on regular....perhaps you missed those ones then?
