Someone came in to my garden at some point in the night and stole my dh's bike.

I noticed it when I got up to go to the toilet at 1.30 this morning.

He uses that bike to go to and from work.

Just so pissed off that people out there can't be bothered to do things right and steal from others.

On another note....my dog?! The one who barks at a butterfly farting 3 countries away? Slept through the entire thing.. Hmm

I have called the police but they have said the chances of it being recovered are slim.

We can't afford another bike yet..means he is going to have to walk. The 10 minute bike ride is now 30-40 minute walk. Fan-bloody-tastic.

Sorry just needed to rant

That is really annoying and frustrating OP.

I visited a local hospital department (near the main hospital but not inside it) this week as an outpatient. There was a big sign inside the foyer telling staff and patients to keep their bikes locked up as one was stolen from inside the building.

I was Shock at someone stealing a bike from inside a hospital building.

Gutted for you OP. We were burgled a couple if years ago (house ransacked and every room had something taken from it, police said they'd clearly been in here a while) but did our nosey neighbour across the road see anything? The one who knows exactly what I'm doing most of the day? Did she hell, nobody saw or heard a thing. Fuckers < Burglars, not the neighbours.

Don't know where you are OP but our local Emmaus community has a bike shop. I bought mine for about £30.
