I think you may have misunderstood my point or perhaps I did not make it clearly. I was responding to the notion that the immigration policy of the United States should protect its cultural norms. The cultural norms of the United States are an aggregation, sometimes blending, sometimes discrete, of those from many nations and many peoples. It is an ever-evolving process as immigration has continued through the years.
