DH left for work in his car about an hour ago and now in his place is a random car! No idea who's or why. We're a cul de sac with on on road parking spare and not near a school, train station etc. so no logical reason to put it there. It's not blocking me in.

I have to get dressed, do the school run and walk the dog now so I will be disappearing for an hour or so just to leave to you all hanging. Obviously I have moved my car and put it behind said vehicle so owner can't just rock up and move it without knocking. I don't need to go out in the car either today so the culprit will be revealed at some point. Depending on their explanation I may or may not be available to move my car and release them Grin

Gutted this has been so easily resolved and before OP even had chance to do a diagram

I almost posted a parking one myself the other day, got up (late-ish, had had a lovely lie-in) to find a big flash Merc in DH's spot (allocated parking bay right outside our front door so pretty much the equivalent of our driveway). Was just making a cuppa and looking forward to posting on MN when the owner turned up (we live within walking distance of town and she'd patently been shopping) so I went out and asked what she thought she was doing parking on our drive.

Her response was that she thought we would be at work so it wouldn't matter Shock I was pretty much rendered speechless by that and she had DC with her so I just told her not to do it again and went back inside feeling utterly flabbergasted by the cheeky fuckery of some people and cheated out of my parking thread.

Or a pub, monkey!
Very quiet village.
I go to church come back hour and a half later to find someone parked outside my house usually for a couple of hours and due to neighbours on one side have a car and a van and neighbours on other side having two cars and a van I have no where to park other than road adjacent and walk over. Annoying if I have grabbed shopping on way back or I want to clean car out. Who does that especially when I go down to pub and find car park not even full. I have been known to go down for a quick half to complain loudly to landlord in hope to shame them.
If I remember I put my wheelie bin in place before I go out. Our cottages are right on pavement so they park blocking the light from the window sometimes. I try and make sure I am directly opposite the window to glare at them because the cheeky bs often look in! There is plenty of room opposite/ adjacent street because there is a church there and they finish at 12 as pub opens. So they are too lazy to park and walk across and park outside in my ( by mutual agreement) designated space outside my cottage because it is closer to the pub. There is also a car park at the pub.

I was settling down too I love the parking threads on here. The last one that went on for ages was great. Not for the owner though. It was another driveway one. Who does that? Entitled!

Oh.

I'm going to have to do some work now Sad

Spadequeen · 11/01/2018 09:24

DMn you op couldn’t you just make something up?

In fact we could all pretend your last post never happened. How extreme can you be? It will also be funny to watch how many people get upset on your behalf when they don’t rtft!

Lalliella · 11/01/2018 09:37

How did you not know your husband has an apprentice? I think your husband’s lack of communication is worthy of further discussion!

Rebeccaslicker · 11/01/2018 10:33

Let's pretend we didn't read that and make stuff up.

The driver called you WHAT???Angry

monkeywithacowface · 11/01/2018 10:57

Sorry folks will name change, give it a week and then make something up!

Whenever DH has had apprentices in the past he's always picked them up and driven them (he doesn't want them spending money on fuel on an apprentices wage bless him). This one must live in the wrong direction so has met DH at the house.

Thought I was onto a winner as last month there was a parking thread on a local facebook post and that was someone who's parked on their drive, gone to the pub and come back the next morning.

Bloody post code lottery this parking business. I was all geared up to be outraged and teach them a lesson and now I have to get on and finish the personal statement bit of a job application form that I've been putting off all week.

Even DS 12 made a sneaky phone call from the school toilets at break time to get an update! Grin

To be fair Lalliella the last time DH had an apprentice it was a nightmare and I forbid him having another one (well not really forbid but told him on his head be it) so he probably didn't want me to be all Hmm at him.

Plus he is chronically shit at sharing vital bits of information, gossip or scandal.
