CMS have finally agreed to deduct money from Ex's place of work after he has filed to pay correct amount for past 6 months (and nothing for the 2 years prior but thats another story)

Anyone have experience of this - how long did it take to set up?
Will he get another chance to get out of this or now the wheels are in motion is that it?

I feel like he will call them and say he'll pay and they will cancel it?

If he does quit his job and he is actually well off the push CMS (with help from your MP if needed) to go after the arrears from his bank or post office account. Or to go after his driving license. CMS rely on people just not bothering.

Also if he goes abroad then find out if the country is a REMO country. Some countries are much tougher on child support dodgers than we are!

He will go to the Middle East probably so there wouldn't be much i can do although my solicitor said you can apply to the court here if he does that.

I think what makes it worse is that they get away with it - or the arrears get wiped and all that it is just so wrong.

It is also not just the added cost to benefits etc but also things like i bet most RP not receiving maintenance are on anti depressants etc, and how many of the kids in CAHMS etc. the implications are huge for all those left in the lurch and upset by the unfairness of it all.
