Aibu to ask for help in finding this?!

So Mumsnet is apparently pretty good at finding things! (Floffel) etc.

My mum has been diagnosed with recurrent breast cancer 16 years after she first had it in her other breast. So I'm trying to cheer her up during her chemo sessions and whilst she's resting from her reconstruction.

One of the things she loves is tea and teapots, so can anyone help me find this tea cup?

She has the milk jug, and the teapot but not the teacup, it was around in 2013 but the ones they're selling now are more overtly 'Alice in Wonderland' I know it's a massive long shot but she's having a really crappy time, and I just want to cheer her up. She's been looking to complete this set for years

(God knows why she didn't just buy it when she got the teapot)!

Is it bad to message her asking her not to fill the teacup up with wax??

Not bad! Message her and tell her you want it but no wax. Etsy sellers are individuals aren't they so she'll be happy to help.

Aww, great work, JustKeepKnitting

JustKeepKnitting · 07/01/2018 23:23

Happy to have found it :-)
Seconding Cheap, I'd ask for it without wax too.

Christmastits · 07/01/2018 23:40

Eek!! I've messaged her asking for it sans wax... nothing ventured nothing gained right??

Christmastits · 08/01/2018 11:21

So apparently the teacup and saucer will come in a wooden chest with a silver spoon. So it'll look really nice ❤️ I seriously can't wait to see her face!
