AIBU To Ask How You Wipe Yours?

I'm new to glasses and wanted to hear some tips on how to keep them nice and transparent.

How do you wipe? Do you use fluids or give them a huff to steam them then wipe?

And yes, this could be the dullest thread of the year.

I'm with constantly after 30 years of glasses wearing, washing up liquid and kitchen roll.

I thought this was going to be another 'standing or sitting to wipe' thread! Grin

Soap and water, then a dry with a clean towel. I've tried the huff and wipe but it's not as good.

This thread is very interesting if you look in active where only the title and the start of posts is shown.

I find if you've some sort of coating on the lenses eg anti glare/reactalite that's what a paper towel scratches.

Soap and water is always a good one if you have the time - 43 years a wearer.

I get in the shower with mine on wash with soap rinse under the shower then pop on the side to dry. During the day if they get dirty i breathe on them and them wipe with my top. I always used to get my glasses from Specsavers last 2 pairs have been from asda as varifocals from Specsavers were an arm and a leg noticed the asda lenses get dirty a lot more easily than Specsavers

Don't use washing up liquid on the lenses if they have a coating as it will strip the lens of the coating. Best to use lens wipes. Nikon lens wipes are great. You can get them on Amazon.
