Playing outdoors

I keep reading about kids not getting enough time outside and all the issues it's causing. However schools and nurseries have to take kids out every day and I still see lots of kids in parks and out and about. I wonder if it's the media blowing it up to sound worse than it really is. So do you use your garden and your local park?

Yes and when the children were older they went out and out by themselves.

Garden yes, park yes, bikes, dog walks, walking into town at weekends rather than driving....plus child does 8 hours of gymnastics a week and horse riding. So we’re defo active.

There's a large park about a minute walk away with two separate play areas (one's got some colour puzzles in, the other's more of the slides, swings etc) and a skatepark and there's always kids and young families using all of it.

My nearly 2 year old spends a minimum of 90 minutes outside playing every day, and then there is the usual running about at playgroups and going to the shops etc.
I hope this will continue as he gets older.

Yes to both, I have 2 grumpy DC at the moment as it is raining & very windy so they're stuck indoors. They also do swimming, gymnastics, boxing & football training.

Yep. We take walks, go to parks, use the garden (sometimes - we have grumpy neighbours and the dcs can be noisy outside), go to trampoline parks, and so on.
