5 year old teeth

Not really an aibu but not sure if I should see a dentist for Dd.
Dd was 5 on Nov and she just complained of something stuck in her teeth. I had a look and at the same time noticed that she has two more molars growing behind the 2 she already has.
I've not heard anything about more teeth around this age so just wondering if this is in the range of normal and what these teeth are?!

If it helps she's always been an early teether (first one at 12 weeks) and had already lost her bottom two front ones and top ones are starting to wobble.

Perfectly normal. The adult molars start coming through usually around 6 years but early tethers will get them through earlier.

The first adult molars usually erupt about 6 so perhaps if she’s been early getting teeth it will be them

Oh good thank you! Yes she has a pattern of early teething so I guess it would be about normal- had no idea more teeth were due in the infant stage!

This is a rough guide but can be earlier or later.

Yep perfectly normal. My dd also teethed early and got her 6 year molars around her 5th birthday. She’s now lost 5 front teeth (& loves to show off about this as she was the first in the class to lose them) x

Posted too soon - you should see a Dentist though - my Dentist put a coating on the new molars to stop food getting trapped in them - think all Scottish kids get this - could be different in testing uk though.
