Posting here for traffic

Hope the link works.

I know this is a very very sensitive matter but I'm aware he has a huge child fan base and I can't bare thinking some children could watch it.

For the record, for anyone that ever feels low, please know you are never alone. Talk to someone. My inbox is always open, in case you feel you have no oneThanks

You shouldn't be letting your kids watch the Paul brothers full stop.

Birdsgottafly · 02/01/2018 12:04

There was a couple who were increasing their audience on SM by doing more and more stupid things, in June 2017. This has just ended because she shot him dead during a stunt. He was 22. She is 19 and pregnant with their second child.

The worse one, imo, was the eight year old killed accidentally by their teen Sister.

We need to somehow keep a lid on what is being shown and done.

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:14

@TheFSMisreal my son is 3 months old so doesn't watch much really (except baby shark which he seems to enjoy Hmm) but I can assure he won't watch anything like those pair when he's old enough!!

Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 12:15

I forgot he would have edited the video. I don't know much about this vlogging stuff.

He's saying he did it to raise awareness of suicide. There's nothing on anything I've seen that raises any kind of awareness. The documentaries I've watched previously absolutely did raise awareness and the presenters were all very solemn and shocked at what they saw, albeit just left bags and shoes and stuff.

Another point against him, I've read you need to go pretty deep into the forest to see anything now. Apparently the authorities are hot on prevention and when missed removal. So it's a seemingly typical forest for a while, lots of walking trails and nothing to "see"
So either he was extremely unlucky or he went looking.

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:15

*There are still people on Twitter defending him

Shock

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:16

His apology was crap an all.

'I didn't do it for views. I get views' Hmm

OP posts:
jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:19

@Idontevencareanymore I've read a fair bit about it too. There is actually a barrier which says not to pass now, which is where 90% of the suicides happen. So more than likely they had to cross that to find anything. They were looking for exactly what they found. Sad

OP posts:
Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 12:20

Yeah his apology is disgusting.
Of course he did it for views. And he knew exactly what he was doing.
Maybe he didn't expect to find an actual person but he expected something to pull them in and get views.

Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 12:23

Jitterbug, also apparently signs asking people not to film. Or Wed prefer you don't film, something along those lines.

The worst thing though apparently YouTube put it as a trending video before it was pulled. Again I don't know much about this but it had to be done manually? That's just what I read.

slashlover · 02/01/2018 12:25

His fans will forgive him for almost anything -

"he was doing it for awareness"
"he blurred the face so it's fine"
"he warned at the beginning it was graphic"
"he turned of monetisation"

MissDuke · 02/01/2018 12:29

Ahh crap, dd (13) loves Jake Paul. Will have a word with her later about all of this. I will have a job turning her though, she has ASD and unfortunately he is her latest 'obsession'. She doesn't like Logan, but I am guessing they are as stupid as eachother?

FrivolouslyFancifulFannie · 02/01/2018 12:33

is this what its coming to, posting close ups of actual suicide victims hanging from trees for likes/views whatever.

Did anyone have the common decency to even think if the mans family had been informed, nice way to find out your loved dad, brother, son, is dead, on some idiots you tube channel

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:49

@Idontevencareanymore I think you're right? Plus it was on for way too long. I can't believe it had 600,000 likes by the time it was deleted!!

OP posts:
jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 12:50

I think another big issue was they didn't even contact the police or anything either. Just left him how they found him

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 02/01/2018 12:50

I haven’t watched the video... but do they alert someone that there’s a body? Or do they just film and leave? It’s just so awful to post it online, it turns my stomach.

TheFSMisreal · 02/01/2018 12:50

He put out a song a month ago totally stealing from an old one. The original is a beautiful and deep statement, he made his plagiarism about having disrespectful sex with other peoples wives/girlfriends. They know their Audience is children. They aren't good people! All they do is flex, plug, and cause controversy for views.

NewYearNewUsername · 02/01/2018 12:53

It's been taken down thankfully. Although he's done it himself. You Tube let it stay for quite a long while, despite it trending and thus being presumably very visible
To the people who are supposed to uphold standards. Make of that what you will.

The level of disrespect disgusts me personally. The forest Is a place of sorrow, grief and desperation. It's reputation is well known. It's not a fucking tourist attraction. It's not a well publicised place either because the government don't want people like him going there. Rightly so given his actions.

It makes me incredibly angry and I despair that anyone thinks his behaviour is acceptable.

I also can't believe that out of everyone with him and all the people involved with his channel not a single one said "hang on a minute, you shouldn't do this"

I hope it ends his career on You Tube to be honest. I don't want my kids growing up in a world where someone who shows such a horrific lack of respect can be deemed a star and a role model.

slashlover · 02/01/2018 12:56

He phoned the police then filmed the police and ambulance arriving, including the ambulance people pulling out a stretcher and a body bag from the back.

Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 13:00

Jitterbug, the guide called the police once he realised the man was indeed real. You can hear it in the background plus at the end of the video you see the emergency services going into remove him.

Again not excusing him but I think that reaction is probably typical " what do we do?who do we call?!"

There's still versions of the video out there. But the fact it was deleted then the vlogger reposted is inexcusable. He didn't even edit it again to take away the scenes and just leave the "reaction" of discovery. Not that it would have made it any less vile and deeply innaproriate.

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 13:08

Ah, apologise I thought someone else alerted the authorities. Of course he filmed them arriving and taking the poor guy.

I know. I thought the girl was particularly bad too. Laughing and saying 'you found a dead body!' Like it's the most exciting thing to happen

OP posts:
WellThisIsShit · 02/01/2018 13:13

Euww. What a revolting little selfish man.

He was just copying other You Tubers as visiting that forest is ‘a thing’. Not even original, just trying to go further and be more shocking than other vloggers, in his quest for fame and attention.

Euw. What a revolting person.

Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 13:15

If the guide hadn't been there I'm not sure they would have done tbh.
Yeah the girl was odd. You didn't see much of her facial reaction but you'd hear here wittering on. The guy in the grey beanie seemed a tad more respectful but also a bit wtaf have we just seen.

I wonder if they naively though the stories aren't true. And they'd not see anything cause it's all just folklore.

jitterbug5 · 02/01/2018 13:21

@Idontevencareanymore I've not actually watched the full video. I've just seen edited clips. It's terrible how he's making jokes through the entire thing! It's unbelievably disrespectful! I've found the full video on YouTube but I'm in two minds weather to watch the entire thing! It makes me feel sick Sad

OP posts:
Idontevencareanymore · 02/01/2018 13:35

@jitterbug5 I watched the whole unedited thing. The edited versions make his reactions look worse and I've just watched abother where's laughing more than what I remember.
You don't really see much although there's a close up you may want to look away from. It's just the man's hands but i found it a bit too much.

slashlover · 02/01/2018 13:59

jitterbug5

I would not watch it, there were several closeups from different angles, you could see the shape of the mans phone in his front pocket and his wallet in the back one. There were several shots of him hanging there with only his face blurred, I really wish I hadn't watched it.
