To think just use your own bloody bin

Is it unreasonable to hate passers by shoving rubbish in residential bins?

Our local council only provides a small outside bin, a blue caddy for food waste only that's shared between me and my neighbour. Everything else goes out in recycling or black bags. I've just put the rubbish out and was a bit Shock to find the whole bin full up with people's litter....all wrappers and unfinished drinks and all sorts of crap which I've just had to sort amoungst my own bins bags and got covered in bin juice when the wind blew.

Am I being precious or is that not on?

cheeky do you ask first? Even if there is space you should really check. My neighbours didn’t and it really pissed me off. I know it’s a case of ‘where’s the harm if there is soace?’ But it’s rude and cheeky and yes a had a small bit of space that I then decided to use due to the late pick up but couldn’t due to CF neighbours just using my bin without asking 🤬

He's said we could before but I don't ask every time. And the bags are placed in as the bin collectors so not taking any room he needs or costing him anything. The most that's in his wheelie bin (which is kept at the roadside permanently so isn't moved for collection) is a takeaway wrapper or empty bottle of milk. When bin use isn't affecting the owner I don't mind, and if someone pops their rubbish in mine when it's out for collection I'm okay with it (better than littering) but when it's recycling or needed then they're taking the piss.

I used my neighbours bin without asking. Although they’re away and I put their bin out and back again for them so they didn’t miss the collections, so I’m sure they’ll forgive the extra bag I hoiked in there.

Generally though I don’t as it’s a pain in the backside having your bin filled.

glitter I think that seems fine. If someone asks or is told it’s ok then fine but just to go and put all your crap in someone’s bin
Without asking if they are needing it is not on.
