Why can't I get pants (not control ones) to fit and cover my hangy down fat bits?!

Am I picking the wrong leg cut..

Talk to me about your favourite day to day pants..

I have big control pants but don't always want to wear them..

Help!!!

I was wearing M&S Midi ones but they are too low on the waist/hips and if they are a bit too small they cause a muffin top type line. Not only that they do not cover my backside and the bottom of my cheeks falls out. They also rise up so even more falls out.

I gave in and bought Asda full briefs, they are not too tight in the legs and are also slightly higher cut than most full briefs and not so old ladyish. They do not fall down, and do not give me a muffin top.

I used to spend a fortune on nice underwear from Harrods, Selfridges etc. and it never really fitted comfortably, just looked nice.

These are the business - matching bras and look lovely on...

No floppy out bits! 😊

Tesco do a seamfree pant. Comfy and hold in without digging in. Best to get online as never have enough in store!

youhavebeenlovedforever · 01/01/2018 21:04

Oooo Notenough I like them 😍

Asda - I got some lovely lace edged ones as well as Wonder Woman and Star Wars ones just before Christmas.

Not spectacular but I find the waistband a bit kinder and a bit feminine

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 01/01/2018 22:08

I second the Sainsbury's ones, they're even nicer than M&S but I don't have shorts I have 'high legs' and they're fab.

I like the M&S bikini ones too - and their high legs but Sainsbury's are now my go-to shop for knicks.

Loyaultemelie · 01/01/2018 23:59

I'm a dedicated Sainsbury's fan but liking the sound of these M&S Brazilian cuts.

Jassmells · 02/01/2018 00:05

Did not know the M&S midi was so popular! I've been loving them since DD2 but did think they were a bit granny but clearly I'm
In good company!!

Madwoman5 · 02/01/2018 00:11

Sloggis or tesco midcontrol. The tesco ones have a high top and come in shorts or pants, both are remarkably comfy for "sag". The waistband is deeper than most, flat and they come over your belly button but strangely are quite a distance from traditional big pants or foundation garments (shapewear/slimming pants). Can't stand pants that I spend disproportionate amounts of time removing from by butt crack or heaving over my section scar!

mywayalltheway · 02/01/2018 00:20

Any good suggestions out there for plus size knickers, I need a size 18/20 more towards the 20 and really struggle, all I can find are really granny full briefs or they roll down my large tummy (where I carry most of my weight) and sit uncomfortable under my belly.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 02/01/2018 00:20

You have to embrace the full brief I think. Much to dh' s disgust.
I have an awful apron from three c/s being very overweight and the then weight loss. They are the only pants that tuck it all in Blush

I buy multipack of plain black or plain black cotton ones with jacquard patterned elastic bits on 3 for 2. I was persuaded o try a high leg recently and it just felt like my stomach apron was hanging out the sides and didn't give a nice silhouette under clothing.

Ohyesiam · 02/01/2018 00:24

I like m&s Brazilian high rise.
They come up to the belly button, and show a bit of cheek, with a band of lace across the top at the front, and across your bum at the back.
On me they look much less old lady than midis or their other high rises.
Only problem is they do then in a 5 pack ,3 white 2 black. I would prefer all black.

meandmytinfoilhat · 02/01/2018 00:30

I love a full brief. I swapped from thongs to full brief years ago and never looked back.

mywayalltheway · 02/01/2018 00:46

Full brief seems so old and frumpy but I suppose that's the price I pay for being overweight ☹️

LadyB49 · 02/01/2018 01:27

Notenough .... I wear the briefs in your link. Got them for £1 at m and s outlet. Great job. Decent sizing. Waist is up at the waist so there is no extra line.

For a good line and comfort big Knicks is the way to go.

WeeM · 02/01/2018 15:22

I have been looking for the holy grail of pants ever since my c section! I think part of the key to comfort is to buy them a size bigger than you need. I have also looked before at the m and S midis but wasn’t sure if they were verging on granny...think I might make a visit to the sales now!

Cakescakescakes · 02/01/2018 16:06

The M&S midis come in lots of designs aside from the simple cotton plain colours. I like these for no seams under tight clothing etc and they look really nice on.

They are slightly higher waisted in real life than on the model. Although she is probably 6 inches taller than me... I’m a generous size 12 and the 12 fits perfectly so they aren’t small fitting I would say.
