Struggling with a virus and have been feeling lousy all day, was in bed until 10pm when the fireworks started and the dog went berserk. Have had to be downstairs with all the lights on, all the doors shut and the tv on deafeningly loud to try and drown it out, although right now he's bawling at the tv fireworks and the outside fireworks at the same time.

Sigh. Wine

I've been ill all week and went to the pub for all of two hours! 😳

SparklyUnicorn - oh I feel sorry for your dog. We have just managed to calm down our cat who was running round in circles at 5 past midnight. The fireworks from the neighbours were worse than Nov 5th. Cat is now on his tower and family guy turned up a bit on tv helped.

I was in bed by 10pm last night.

In my defence I'd been up since 5.30am for work, and have a baby and a toddler (and the baby still wakes up pretty much every night) so I value sleep too much to stay up just to see the New Year in. However the baby got woken by the bloody fireworks so I was up from just after midnight anyway for an hour.

Heyho thank you. We were up until about 1.30 as my neighbours appeared to be launching grenades from their garden. Hope your cat is calmer today.
