<Ashamed> to avoid using hand towels in other people's bathrooms?

It occurred to me that I always do this - just let them drip dry instead, because I never know how recently the towel was changed. Anyone else have any ridiculous hygiene obsessions? (Oh, I also use my little finger to open doors when out and about, rather than sacrifice my whole hand to The Germs)

Thanks for your understanding!

No worries :) 💛

Also I promise my fanny is okay as far as fannies go (lol at the word fanny makes me think of bumbags) and I would never not wash or anti bac my hands in public toilets so that's one less person to worry about!

I re-read your post as I did not realize you were in your own home. Of course, you can do what you like in your own personal space, I am sorry for my earlier response.
I don't choose to feel how I do, I really wish I didn't.

It's okay, easily done! When I read threads like this I'm so glad I'm largely blithely unaware of germs, I do feel weird touching toilet flushes and inside cubicle doors but do it anyway knowing I'll be sanitising my hands very soon. It must be hell to have to consider germs everywhere. Hugs 💛

Sorry for your worries about germs Buffy! I'll wash mine extra carefully now! So stop worrying! 😇

Buffybee · 02/01/2018 21:43

Thanks Lemon! Luckily it's not germs everywhere! Thank goodness! Mainly, public toilets, really bad. Handrails, a bit and supermarket trolley handles a bit.
Force myself with handrails and handles and usually forget after initial cringe. A lot of people I talk to have public toilet cringe though. So don't feel too bad about it really.

I sometimes have fleeting thoughts about taps and door handles but ultimately I can't let it rule my life. I will judge restaurants and public bathrooms that have towels and will wipe my hands on my trousers rather than use a damp hand towel!

I AM THE THREAD KILLER!

I haven't since teenage me got bollocked by a friend's mother for getting the hand towel wet Hmm didn't realise the bastard thing was purely decorative!
