Inspired by the 'inconvenience' thread... what's the nicest thing you've experienced when staying at someone else's house?

I love having guests (for a night or two, max) and try to make things comfortable as poss.. AIBU to think there must be others like me?!

I love going to stay with my parents. They have an old house in the country with a huge kitchen, log fires, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms.

We get a suite of rooms in the top of the house. Small bedroom with a king sized bed for dh and me, ds is in a twin room with ensuite, there's a middle room with a sofa and TV and another bathroom at the end. Mum bought ds his own cot to have at her house, we all have lovely White Company bedding, carafes of water and tins of biscuits, White Company dressing gowns (she's their best customer!), books next to our beds, bathroom is fully stocked including for ds...

Dad churns out meal after meal, endless supply of drinks, babysitting on tap...

It's heaven. But dh always insists that we stay at his parents' house for an equal amount of time and it's so much less comfortablie that I feel I can't stay for too long at my parents' house. Sad

My mum and dad are great to stay with.

Enough bedrooms / beds for all, roaring log fire, plenty of food, plenty of gin.
