To not want to go and have lunch with friends tomorrow

As they have arranged with dh to meet at a pub nearly 2 hours drive away. I spend all week driving around and really really don't want to to do this. Even if dh drives it's a bloody long way.

Your DD is in hospital and your DH is still planning on going out to lunch a 2 hour drive away?

She's not in hospital, she has a cracked rib and needs to go to get stronger painkillers.

Your poor dd hope she heals quickly.

I wouldn't drive 2 hours to a pub to meet friends. Just text them and suggest a meeting place midway between where you both live.

Thanks. I'm not going. Felt a bit guilty but as dd is now feeling crap I am glad we didn't go.
