To be annoyed that they didn't open the playgrounds in Regents Park today

Went into Regents Park for a walk and thought we'd give DS a good go on the adventure playground there...only to find it padlocked shut Angry

It's not exactly a local park either. And I forgot to bring his balance bike / scooter so was relying on the playground.

Why, when they bother to open the parks, would they not open the playgrounds? Aren't we meant to be encouraging our kids to play outside? To close the playground is not really in the spirit of promoting outdoor play

Running Yes, four meerkats are missing, now presumed dead. Sad This is in addition to the aardvark that died. Sad

You would have struggled years ago when all the playgrounds were locked every Sunday and no shops open!!!!

TabbyMumz · 26/12/2017 09:54

Playgrounds do not need to be open on Christmas day. It is not a necessity.

10FingersOnTheFender · 26/12/2017 11:29

@TabbyMumz In all fairness, I never claimed it was a necessity.

Is it open today OP? You could stay twice as long to compensate.

Poor animals in the park. Sad

10FingersOnTheFender · 26/12/2017 11:39

@Sparklingbrook I could indeed...not down that way today though (and, no, I'm not attempting to lay the blame for that at anyone's door...before you all pile in!)
