FFS!! went to baste the turkey and the bloody oven was off. The knob hasn't got the numbers on anymore so we were gauging the temp. I must have turned it down too much.

Must have been off for about 40 minutes. Do you think I should abandon it?

Sooo stressed out

It'll be fine.
Opposite issue here, fridge seemed a bit warm last night, so I turned it down.
Everything is now frozen. Just about to begin cooking the starter!

cook it hard like a bastard got to be one of, if not the, best Christmas sayings on here ever.

I'm a bit behind today. We just had a snack - well - lunch really, walked the dog, I might have a shower and put the vacuum round. Nothing is done, but hey, I am sure at some point this evening all that food in the fridge will get cooked.

I am just so lucky as I lost my sense of smell and taste for over a week, its not 100% right but I have just managed to taste a sausage roll so I am truly blessed (been reading about people who lose it for years or worse, the thought of not smelling the air outside again, or the trees, the dog, even my new carpet laid last week and maybe even poo in an emergency where poo detection is required ... well, lets just say I am DEFINITELY counting blessings today). Later I will cook my late turkey hard, like the juicy bastard he is.

So it turned out the wine was 52 years old! So I'm saving that for a more refined occasion Grin we ate about 4.30 which wasn't bad for us. Now uncomfortably bHmmloated and eyeing up the mince pies
