To be worried the presents aren't enough?

Had a baby at the beginning of December so not had much time to get anything since but I did most of my Christmas present shopping in a late pregnancy haze and I'm now worried I haven't gotten enough for my parents and DBro. (OH sorted most of his side of the family)

We did mention to not do any big presents this year mostly due to money etc but when it comes to them they might stick to it or they might just get carried away and buy lots.

Here's what I got

For DM - an eyeshadow pallete from Makeup Revolution one that everyone raves about
For DF - some whiskey stones in a fancy box with tongs etc
And for DM and DF together I bought a Cinema gift box which gets them 2 tickets to any film they choose plus popcorn and 2 regular drinks.

I struggled with DBros present as he's 21 a bit picky and its hard to pin down what he likes/dislikes so I bought him a long sleeved adidas top because I know he likes the brand, I put the gift receipt in with the top in case he didn't like the colour or style so he could return/exchange at his leisure. And I just got him a big sharing bag of Celebrations as he likes his sweets.

I'm now terrified of putting 5 little presents under the tree when they might pile stuff on Blush

Did I get crap presents or do they sound okIsh???

They sound like lovely thoughtful gifts! I would be more than happy with them. Happy Christmas

Allthetuppences · 22/12/2017 20:41

Sounds fine. Seriously don't worry! Adults aren't the present focus. Enjoy some quality time Xmas Smile

Knittedfairies · 22/12/2017 20:41

Of course your presents are fine. After all, your 'big' present for them this year is a new family member, and you can't get much bigger than that!

Crispmonster1 · 22/12/2017 20:41

People shouldn’t have expectations around gifts. The fact you even bothered during late pregnancy is awesome! I’m one year in and still playing the new baby card!

Bobbybobbins · 22/12/2017 20:42

These all sound great to me! BiscuitXmas Smile

RedPandaMama · 22/12/2017 20:42

I think that's fine. I haven't spent tonnes this year but did my best with what I have. Christmas is about spending time with people you love, not what you give and get!

If you really are worried though...

Can you cook or bake? I usually make some cookies/cupcakes/fudge (super easy!) to bulk out small presents. Or bottles of wine/beer?

Bobbybobbins · 22/12/2017 20:43

Oops, don't know where that random biscuit came from, sorry! Festive jammy dodger?

Trb17 · 22/12/2017 20:44

Sounds great to me. All of them sound really nice and well thought out. I’d be happy with them.

You know the name for what's wrong, don't you?

It's the Christmas Twitch. Very common, encouraged by retailers and responsible for about 90% of Christmas Eve purchases.

EastMidsMummy · 22/12/2017 20:46

Hmmm... I wonder if you shouldn't have got them a Cinema gift box which gets them 2 tickets for any film they choose plus popcorn and 2 large drinks? Are they big drinkers, OP?

NancyDonahue · 22/12/2017 20:46

Relax, op. Your presents are lovely and thoughtful. Plus you've given your family a wonderful new baby to love!

Hassled · 22/12/2017 20:49

They sound absolutely fine. And with a newborn baby they're lucky to get more than a box of Quality Street. What you're suffering from is the age-old malaise of Pre-Christmas Irrational Panic - I've suffered badly from it in the past.
