posted in the relevant bit of mumsnet but no traffic there....

can't believe this, my toddler is a SMALL two year old, I can barely do the straps up, they are lengthened to the max, the crotch strap is sewn into the seat and not adjustable. It's meant to go up to age 3.5!!!

Awaiting reply from Maxi Cosi and also the baby shop I bought it from, but have just read thread on hear about similar problem with Graco where one retailer has been sensible about it but Graco and another retailer (different customer) have just refused to do anything!

I can't afford to loose £400 on a useless buggy! I did try her in it first but thought it was difficult to fasten cos she was wriggling so much. Struggled with a crap pushchair for over a year and a half, and now this one is too crap to even use!

Have read about people using reins instead, which ones work for this purpose as I also need to use the footmuff so the reins need to loop thru it.

the straps on my umbrella buggy (shoulder to crotch to hip) are 96cm as opposed to the Adorra's 60.5!!!!!

I used to have a maxi cosi loola and had a similar problem with short straps. Customer service sent out strap extenders when asked. They were basically replacement straps. Before then I just had a cheap set of reins(red kite I think). You will need to check the pushchair to see the fastening. Mine was downwards the bottom and either side so did not affect the footmuff.
My quantity was a physio and squash said reins can sometimes be better as little ones are less likely to hurt themselves if they try to lean forwards.

thanks, not sure replacement straps will work as they are sewn into the fabric of the chair at the back, unlike sensible straps!!!!. The reins won't fit without cable ties and won't allow me to use a footmuff which is essential in this weather
