I know that this isn't strictly an AIBU, but, if you're an avid mner, like me, it's great. You select what you're interested in and they send you a daily digest of questions received and answered in those areas. Sorry if this sounds like an advert - just thought others might be interested

I do read my 'digest' but all the veiled boasting can get on my wick after a bit! Plus all the italicising and bolding of bits that don't really need emphasising. (And 'Quora royalty' gets a bit up itself at times - at least MN R is funny.) Have to admit it is addictive though. The range of topics people write on is incredible, they have a very loyal and committed user base and it is unique. At the same time, it's easy to be exposed to only what you've chosen to read and there's a bit of a uniform writing style that's pushed so you almost wonder whether all the prominent Quorans are real. Oh and anonymity is a real issue (especially for teenage users), I think, as if you choose to stay anonymous (not share your first and last names, not put a picture up, not share very intimate details about your life), you're not going to get very far up the ranks, and people do seem to chase views, upvotes and followers, and write specifically to push those figures up.

Saw Trudeau was on there, thought yep figures, right up his self-important street...

MN feminists are much more on the ball too (I'll leave it at that).
