LUSH SLEEPY LOTION?
Not really an AIBU just unashamedly posting for traffic.

After 2.5 years of dd not sleeping and goalkeeping since 15 months just so I can get some sleep I'm at the end of my tether.
I've heard marvellous things about LUSH sleepy lotion and wondered if any MN had had any success with it. The reviews on lush are great but I'm Still slightly sceptical.
I have used lavender in the past (in my youth) and found it soothing.
Is it safe to use on a toddler?
Does it do what it says on the tin?
Is it worth £8 (don't usually buy expensive stuff)
Dp said (jokingly) can't we just give her whiskey like they used to Hmm not helpful at all Angry

Use it on DD 18months since about 14 months when we went through a phase of waking all night. She slept through 2 days after using it and has been fine since. I expect it does nothing and was a coincidence but I'm too scared not use use it just in case. Which I expect is the whole idea and I will just keep spending the £8. If anything it adds a nice massage to the bedtime routine which is a nice bonding time.

I don’t think it’s the lotion as much that will get your DD to sleep as the fact that the application of the lotion creates a nice calming routine that signifies bedtime.
I do similar with Dd where I put a spot of badger balm on her wrists and forehead. It’s the circular motion of gently rubbing it in she likes and relaxes her more than the lavender smell.

Bitoutofpractise I loved my autocorrect too. Glad it's making some of you smile. She is a good footballer but I don't know about her goalkeeping skills yet maybe if she actually had some sleep she can perfect those skills Wink
Well I didn't get any free samples. But I did stump up the £8 for a small tub and we shall see if it works. I'm inclined to agree with most of you saying it's the massage that works. We really do need to try a settling down routine. Unfortunately she doesn't have her own room and her although her cot has been at the side of us since birth she has always slept on me. (Velcro baby).
A knew big girl routine and massage is hopefully the way forward. I'm not expecting any miracles.

It has worked really well for my anxiety-ridden insomniac 11 year old, she takes it to her dad's and when we go to the caravan.

Good luck op I had 3 Velcro, insomniac babies Shock it's not fun!!
Mine are adults now but I heard a couple of mums at work saying they used
'Neals Yard' Sleep Balm on their toddlers. They reckoned it worked. I've no idea of it's price or what's in it I'm afraid but might be worth a try if lush fails.
